Africa is a wonderful place:. we were very excited to be able to return to the continent and we were not disappointed. George  is an energic guide, who does not take things for granted, but plans and arranges things ahead of time and it shows!

George is aware of things that can go wrong, of waiting times that may occur and tries to work around that to give his guests the best possible experience.  George is also very sociable and uses this ability to make contacts with people at touristic points.  Because he values his contacts, they know him and are willing to make an extra effort for his guests. It all seems very effortless, but of course it isn't. George has to work hard at this and his guests reap the benefits of all that hard work behind the scenes.  In short, having George as a guide had transformed our holiday from a wonderful time in Africa to a unforgettable experience.  I would totally recommend George as a guide to any friend who would consider a trip to South  Africa.

George and our driver Sulleyman were absolutely fantastic they were warm, friendly, knowledgeable and  have total command of the Cape Town and wine country.   They adjusted our tour to our needs and took care of everything.   Their efforts made the trip once in a life time.    We hope to come back and get George and our driver again.   The deep knowledge of history, culture, attractions and traffics really allowed us to maximize our time.  George even saved me from a baboon.    We just loved the work of George and all of our support team.   A +++

I was responsible for planning the Cape Town portion of my honeymoon. Knowing very little about the city, I reached out to George to plan our trip. George arranged a private tour that was detailed enough for us to see all the best of Cape Town. However, the itinerary left enough ftime for us to see/visit parts of Cape Town that George thought we'd enjoy based on getting to know us during our tour. The level of customization and service was unmatched. In addition to planning a Cape Town tour, George helped get us into a fabulous restaurant and called ahead to our Safari lodge to ensure the rest of our honeymoon went well. 

From the moment we met George Meyer we knew we were in good hands. He is knowledgeable, personable and accommodating. If we had a question he had an answer, he was able to understand our interests and add in little things to make the tour personable to us. If there was something we were not really interested in, well we moved on. Even when the weather was not accommodating George was. When our trip to Robbens Island was put on hold, due to ferry issues, he was able to switch things around; enabled us to meet, eat and talk with Christo Brand (author of ‘Doing Life with Mandela My prisoner, my Friend’). The whole trip was wonderful and South Africa was made especially so by George.

It's impossible to describe our time with George with one word but if I had to it would be Spectacular! My wife and I had spent seven days in two safari camps and then traveled to Victoria Falls before visiting Cape Town. We figured a few days sight seeing and relaxing would let us unwind from our Fabulous 35th wedding anniversary trip to South Africa. From the time George met us at the airport until he dropped us off four days later we had some of the most exciting and enjoyable days of out trip! George's knowledge of his country and its culture is amazing. I doubt if there;s a university professor who knows more about South Africa and its history. We had a schedule problem and it looked like we were not going to get to Table Mountain. George told us not to worry. He picked us up early and dropped us off late just so we could see all the high lights of Cape Town and the coast. His knowledge of the culture and Nelson Mandela was amazing. He took us off the beaten tourist trail to experience the area as only a resident would. If we are ever fortunate enough to visit South Africa again my first contact will be with George and we will schedule our trip around his schedule so as to be able to spend our time with him. I can't imagine a more knowledgable or entertaining guide than George. We met as guide and clients but parted as friends.
