We spent three days touring the Cape area based  out of Stellenbosch, with George. I was travelling with my wife and her twn sister after a cruise. In consultation with George we defined n outline of touiring on the Cape penisula, Hermanus and the Stellenbosh wine area. 

George was a consumate professional always on schedule while allowing us the freedom to exploe items of extra interest. He is extremely knoweledgable about his country and fantastic at sharing it. His seltctions of sites, resteraunts, wineries and surprise places of interest was right on target. The weather was fairly uncooperative on one day and George adjusted to the affected areas seamlessly.

I cannot recommend George any more highly. The experience wtih George was like visiting family and being shown the area with a family member who is an accomplished tour guide. I learned anout South Africa and Cape Town area from George. I would like to think of george as a new friend in Cape Town.  He will help plan the trip of your dreams and execute it with you.

We spent 15 days with George on a recent trip to Cape Town, Fancourt golf resort, and safari in Kruger National Park with a group of 24 people.  I cannot recommend him highly enough.  Over the 15 days, he arranged and handled logistics with multiple flights (and excess baggage with the golf clubs), tours, dining experiences, golf outings, etc.  The arrangements were impeccable with virtually no glitches over the two weeks.  He provided a wealth of information at every turn.  Even more impressive was his attention to learning the interests of the various group members and suggesting experiences to match our interests.   If you are travelling to South Africa and want a guide for a day, a few days, or longer, I highly recommend George.  He will make the trip of your dreams happen.

We hired George as a tour guide for five days in Cape Town for our family, which included myself, husband and our five teenagers.  George was excellent in every aspect.  He truly finds his joy and excitement in showing you the beauty, love and adventure of South Africa.  He is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of nature, culture, history and more.  If he doesn't know something at the moment, guaranteed he will research it overnight and give you a thorough answer the following day.   He listens to exactly what sort of tour you would like, does a ton of research and plans it all out accordingly.  We threw him some major curve balls during our week, and he loved and embraced it all.  The van he drove us in was comfortable, spacious, spotless and appeared brand new.  I cannot recommend George more.  He's a kind, friendly, exciting new friend who is full of energy and passion for his country.

If you are looking for an amazing tour guide, look no further than George Meyer.  George is very knowledgeable, friendly, easy to talk to, and punctual.  He knows Cape Town like the back of his hand and seems to know half the people in the city (and we are not joking about that)!  Everyone loves George and we learned why in our 5 days with him.

George picked us up from the airport on day one, took us to our apartment (that he had previously scoped out for us) and even helped get us checked in.  Each day after that, we made a plan with him about our desired activities and he arrived on time each morning and made sure we made the most of our days.  

George knows not only where to go and what to do, but he also has an excellent knowledge of the history of South Africa and we learned so much from spending time with him.  It was also fun to learn some local lingo like “sho’t left” and “baie dankie.”

It was great to have George as our guide, because we didn’t have to waste time figuring out what to do or how to get there.  I highly recommend hiking or riding the tram to the top of Table Mountain, seeing the penguins at Boulders Beach, paragliding from Signal Hill, and driving to the Cape of Good Hope.  

We were lucky to have George as our guide for several days in July 2022 in the Cape Town area and highly recommend him to anyone looking to visit the beautiful city.  He will make everyday a fun, educational and exciting adventure!

Before going to South Africa, we thought of it as a “once in a lifetime” trip.  After being there and spending time with George, we can’t wait to go back again.

We spent 3 days with George while we were in Cape Town... He made sure to understand what we wanted to do and see and to get an understanding of our interests so that we could do everything we wanted to do during our relatively short stay.  He made suggestions of places to go and things to do for the times that we were not with him.  He was 100% focused on giving us the best experience possible (which he definitely succeeded in doing).  I only wish we could have seen all of South Africa with him... perhaps next time!
