The best Guide in Turkey - NO COMPARISON

Reviewed August 16, 2021

Folks - if you are looking and reading reviews for tour guides - STOP NOW. 1st off I need to state that I dont ever write reviews. I'm usually the guy who complains when I get horrible service. No need to go beyond this review. We were in Turkey for a family wedding and even though Ugur had nothing to do with the wedding planning - we had a snafoo with the wedding planner and Ugur stepped up to the plate. He took care of all our transportation, hair dressers for the wedding, you name it, he took care of it. You know when people say they got a guy - THAT IS UGUR. HE IS THAT GUY!He didnt have to step in and help us out but he did. Then after the wedding he arranged all of our tours, took care of my sister inlaws family - who had planned things out on their own but things did not go as planned. Again Ugur to the rescue. Finally he took care of my niece who was on her honeymoon in Croatia because Greece blocked everyone coming from Turkey. He is a the real deal. When we were on our tours and later in the evening when we were sharing stories with other family and friends during dinner - no one had the amazing experience we did - nor did they have those small tid bits of info that Ugur took the time to learn and share.Ugur is one of those genuine humans you only meet every once in a while. He has a very tight circle of friends and connections and they are all just as fullfulling and customer focused as he is.We even met Ugur and his wife. Such amazing beautiful humans. His communication is on time - all the time - even when we were communicating from Chicago. We were honored to have met him.  You wont go wrong. Also he has many drivers but ask for Goksel. Goksel is just awesome! Enjoy.

There is a big difference in Turkey guides

Reviewed August 13, 2021

Ugar traveled with us to each city and took care of every detail. We never had to worry about a taxis, flight times, meals, tipping or anything.

He helped us get nice hotels at prices lower than we could book ourselves online. His cave hotel in Cappadocia was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in and was very reasonable. He also got us an amazing private yacht in Istanbul  for less than what we would have paid for a crowded group tour.

We are a family of six with kids 13 to 23.  Ugar hiked, biked and ATV'd with us. He  made the trip fun for the whole family. We squeezed a 10 day tour into 6 days.

I almost made the mistake of hiring a company that had a slightly lower quote, but when everything was factored in, they would have been more expensive and they would have used different guides in each city.

Ugar has perfect English and knows everything about Turkey. We asked him a million questions . He is a true professional and a person of high integrety.

We will hire Ugar again the next time we're in Turkey if we can get him.

Best tour guide in Turkey

Reviewed December 9, 2020

If you are considering a guide in Turkey, look no further than Uğur Bey. I have traveled to Turkey several times over the past decade and I am fortunate to have met and become friends with Uğur. He is simply the best tour guide in Turkey. He is friendly, knowledgeable, energetic, humble and most of all he is a true representative of Turkish culture and hospitality. Uğur goes the extra mile to make sure that his clients get the most value for their time and money. I went on a small group tour with an internationally renowned adventure tour operator and during that trip I was fortunate enough to have met him. On later trips, I reached out to Uğur personally and he designed custom tour packages for me and my family. Although he is a tourism professional, I consider Uğur my personal friend and my primary contact in Turkey and the Mediterranean region. Thank you Abi for your efforts and hospitality, see you soon my brother!

Ugur Karaca

Reviewed December 3, 2020

We appreciated Ugur's depth of knowledge about social, cultural and religious history. We were a group of four and spent three days with Ugur in Istanbul and one in Çanakkale (the ancient site of Troy). Some of our group had a slower pace than others and he always made sure we that we were each attended to. That kind of customization is difficult with a group such as ours! He was friendly, informative and very pleasant to be around. We also liked that he took us on the public transportation. When I return to Turkey, he will be my guide again. Very professional!

Best Guide in the Best Cities!

Reviewed December 1, 2020

Out of all the families trips I have had to plan, this one was the BEST by a long shot. It was so easy to coordinate with Ugur about which sights I wanted to see, foods I wanted to eat, and activities I wanted to have based on my own research while integrating his spot on advice and suggestions. There were things that my extensive online research missed that Ugur reccommended (such as visting the beautiful city of Edirne) and, honestly, those detours and unexpected recommendations were the highlights of our trip!!! My mother has a serious and rare food allergy and Ugur would personally make sure every cook understood the gravity of the situation and ensure that all the food was safe for my mom. He even understood when she got tired and always had specific things (like fun cafes or having the van nearby) in mind for her in case she was unable to walk further. Aside from that, he is such a friendly personality who will chat when you wish while also respecting your privacy. He was also very helpful and insightful with any concern or question we had, whether it was regarding Turkey or religion or life in general or where the bathroom was! Ugur was recommended to us from a family friend, and we do not regret the decision at all!
