Traveling with Marcello was a great experience. His skill as a guide is unsurpassed. He can turn a hard walk into a fun one or a dull day into something interesting. If you ever venture to Italy, seek him out. 

 Just returned from a 14 day tour of Italy with Marcello. Can't say enough about what a great guide Marcello was. He is well organized,  knowledgeable and a lot of fun!  He will provide a wonderful tour experience.

There are many good tour guides out there. Some have a depth of knowledge that amazes. Others have enthusiasm and a way with people. Some are excellent organizers. We have traveled the world extensively and Marcello is the only guide we have had who rates five stars in all three areas. It is not enough just to know your stuff. Marcello mangaes the tour and attends to his customers to the smallest level of detail. he anticipates issues and plans solutions in advance. He studies his travelers and knows how to ensure they have an incredible trip. Marcello is simply the best tour leader we have ever had. We know he will succeed in whatever he does and those lucky enough to spend a few weeks with him will come away with a sense of warm freindship. Great trip Marcello!

My wie and I just returned from an OAT tour with Marcello and he did and outstanding job. He took care of every detail and paid attention to everyone's wishes. His leadership abilties made our group cohesive and social. As we walked through the towns of Sicily, Marcello was able to engage interesting people on the street and so we were able to have a better understanding of the history and culture of Sicilians. We learned about history, architecture, food and archeology. In addition, we hiked on Mt. Aetna, ate in many retaurants and people's homes, drove through Modena in Fiat 500's, and visited a winery and farm. Marcello was able to understand the dynamics of the group and every day was special and fun. 

We just returned from a tour from Rome to Malta and Marcello was our fabulous guide. Marcello was knowledgeable about the places we visited, friendly, funny and had an amazing ability to meet the needs of and  give special attention to every one of his 23 group members. (Quite an accomplishment).  He worked very hard at making the trip special for each and every one of us.  He even picked out a great Sicilian hat for my husband when we said we admired his many fashionable hats.   He deserves all the excellent ratings he has collected because he cares deeply about his work and the people he journeys with. We are lucky to have had Marcello and I hope to travel with him again.
