Marcello was an excellent guide for our tour of Sicily in November 2015. He was always well organized and communicated each days plans clearly. But what made Marcello so special as a guide was that he often injected little surprises into our day, making it all the more special and memorable. His enthusiasm was infectious. I would highly recommend him for any tour in Sicily.

We had the pleasure of having Marcello as our guide during a recent GCT trip to Sicily. We couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable, caring, intelligent and fun person to have as our guide. He was attentive to the needs of all the travelers in our group, and by sharing his life with us he made the trip a much more personal experience. He obviously loves what he's doing and his enthusiasm spills over to make the trip a wonderful experience.

Marcello, is one of those rare individuals who has outstanding leadership, management and organizational skills, effective command of multiple languages, and bonds well with all of the members of the groups that he leads. He seemed to be in just the right place all the time, handling all issues great and small without any hint of frustration - we wondered when he was able to rest. Our trip to the island that he loves far exceeded our expectations largely due to Marcello. His way of communicating, sense of humor and professionalism made traveling with a relatively large GCT group, seem like we were with a much smaller group with his ability to focus on everyone all the time. We had many highlights, one of which was a stop at his family's orange growing and agricultural supply business. His recommendations, briefings and directions made our free time and meals on our own easy, fun and only as expensive as we wanted them to be. This was our 17 Grand Circle and Overseas Adventure tour with many outstanding Program Directors/trip leaders - Marcello has raise the bar of excellence for all of them. If you visit Sicily I hope that you will have the good fourtune to travel with Marcello.

We have been on many tours with many guides. Marcello was by far the best guide we have ever had. Caring, warm, funny. He took care of all of us and all our needs. He had great knowledge of his country which he shared with us. Everyday of the trip was exciting and fun, mostly because of Marcello Torrisi
