An excellent day with a highly knowledgeable guide and truly trustworthy gentleman

Reviewed June 7, 2019

I spent a truly wonderful full day (0900-1830hrs) with Mr Ahmed Hamdi, touring ancient buildings, monuments, mosques and little known side streets in the charming, interior, historical town of Khairoun and the bustling coastal city of Sousse.  Mr Ahmed Hamdi's personality and style is a delightful combination of politesse/protocol and genuine warmth, showing pride and enthusiasm in sharing the history of his country. He is also highly perceptive and accommodating, quickly understanding what  interested me most (history/arts/culture/people) and adapting the tour along the way according to my every need or desire.. Mr Hamdi is a wonderful ambassador for Tunisia. I have already planned three further tours with him, including to the desert which he is obviously an expert in and highly passionate about. Sincere thanks for this very informative, enjoyable and flexible introduction to Tunisia beyond Tunis. It was a privilege to spend time with such an honest and genuine character.

We are currently on tour with Hamdi and are very much enjoying our time in Tunisia. Hamdi is very professional and greeted us at the airport with Tunisian cakes and flowers. So sweet! His car is reliable and he has been on time and very flexible with our many requests. We have had many delicious meals with him and he has provided us with a locals perspective of Tunisia!

5 days in Tunisia

Reviewed January 11, 2019

Very good experience with Mr. Hamdi around Tunisia: he is a fair, competent and kind man that was able to take us in our tour around Tunisia from the beginning to the end. Desert experience designed for us was perfect, with quad and camels, and nights spent in Matmata and Zmila Camp site. The historical part of the tour was appreciated very much, too. I advice Mr. Hamdi to everyone wants to come to Tunisia and have a excellent overview of the country and the kindness of Tunisian people

A Great Visit

Reviewed October 24, 2018

My partner and myself had a fantastic full day tour of Tunis and the sites of Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, La Marsa, The Bardo Museum as well as some other hidden gems in the Souk. Mr Hamdi picked us up in his lovely car at our hotel all the way in Gamarth and proceeded to provide a very relaxed and interestng tour of the sites mentioned.

He has a good knowledge of the history of Tunis and a real passion for providing a thorough and positive insight into Tunisian culture. He is extremely kind and flexible to accomodating the needs of his guests and it was a pleasure to spend the time we did with him.

We very much look forwards to seeing him again in the future, hopefully for one of his amazing desert tours he told us about.

Wonderful week in Tunisia

Reviewed October 5, 2018

Our family just spent a terrific week travelling through Tunisia with Mr. Ahmed Hamdi.  We explored Tunis, Carthage and Sid Bou Said.  We then traveled to Kairaouan for a night and then to the Sahara desert in the south.  It was a great experience. We rode camels, rode quad bikes, had dinner and slept in the tent.  His guide friend, Mr. Ahmed, was also great and took us to the desert.  We saw the underground homes in Matamada, the troglodytes and made a stop at oasis on the way.  As Mr. Hamdi is from thesouth, he was able to share much about Bedouin life.  We then went to Sousse, Hammamet and on our last day went to his home where his wife and daughter made us a delicious Tunisian dinner.  IT was an experience we will never forget.  The entire trip he was friendly, cared about our family and wanted to make sure we had a great time.  He is proud of his country, which he should be as it is a beautiful place with incredibly friendly people.  He has the nicest family and is so proud of them.  We felt like family from the moment we met him.  We have traveled the world and spent time with many guides and he is the best.  His English is good, especially for Tunisia where English is not widely spoken.  I should also mention that he served as a vacation planned and planned out entire trip but was very flexible with any changes we requested, including spur of the moment.
