In January 2022 we went on a six day safari trip with Richard to Tarangire, Lake Ndutu and Ngorongoro Crater - both of us first timers.

The journey blew away our expectations! Richard is very professional, knowledgeable in everything from society and anthropology to fauna and wildlife. His driving skills are impeccable, both in the chaotic traffic of Tanzania, and inside the parks, navigating the bush expertly without maps, and even helping other guides - goes to show his level of experience. 

He keeps to the schedule perfectly and always stands ready ahead of time - a rarity in Tanzania. 

We give Richard our highest recommendations and wish new travellers a great trip.

My friend and I had Richard as our guide for a week while we were in Tanzania on a private safari. He was amazing and by the end of the trip he felt like family! Richard had extensive knowledge about all the parks, animals and tribes we saw and visited. We traveled during covid and Richard ensured that we received our covid test on time before our flight out. He was a great driver and took us right to really cool spots in each park to view animals. I would do this trip all over again. We love Richard!  

My husband and I recently visited Tanzania for our honeymoon and had the most incredible experience on our safari! Richard was our tour guide for the week. He was very kind, calm, and personable from the moment we met him at the airport. Richard ensured that we saw everything we dreamed of seeing on our safari and more! He was extremely knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and provided us with a lot of information about the animals, villages, people, and country. He helped make every moment of everyday count, as we enjoyed game drives from sunrise to sunset. Each day was different and exciting! Richard took us through Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Central Serengeti, and the Northern Serengeti over the course of the week. It was the perfect itinerary for us. We were so fortunate to end our safari by observing huge herds during the Great Migration, and we even saw a large wildebeest herd crossing the Mara River! Richard ensured that we had the best views and knew exactly where to take us. He is an excellent driver and we always felt safe. He communicated with other guides to ensure we didn't miss a thing! He had an excellent eye and spotted animals that were difficult to see. We returned home with the most beautiful photographs to show our friends and family. Our jeep was very comfortable, and Richard cleaned it top to bottom after each day. We were very grateful to have Richard with us for the week!

Richard guided us - a family with two girls of 7 and 13 years of age - on a four-day safari through Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. He is a very calm and respectful man with a lot of knowledge about the parks, the animals, and Tanzania as a whole. We felt very safe with him, as he showed a good understanding of animal behavior on several occasions. 

Normally, we like doing our own thing, but we would certainly not have seen as much wildlife and learned as much, hadn't we had Richard with us. For instance, spotting the lion in a tree, and later on the leopard in a tree - we would never have known they were even there!

It was unusually wet for this time of year, but Richard made sure, we didn't get stuck (a challenging task for sure!), while still ensuring we saw a lot. 

Richard had a good feeling of when to stop for wildlife and when we had seen enough of a certain species, which is an important skill - after a few days, you can even get used to seeing elephants strolling along, believe it or not.

We had a wonderful trip with Ricard in Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Lake Ndutu and the Ngorongoro Crater (a grandmother and two grandchildren). Richard knew everything about the animals, and he answered all our questions with patience! You feel safe when you drive with Richard. When we visited Tanzania, there was a lot of mud and other cars were getting stuck in the mud, but Richard had a great sense of when to turn the car and when to pass on. We would highly recommend Richard if you are going on Safari in Tanzania, and his English is very good!
