The experience with Tim was seamless from the start and even before going on the Safari, we knew that we were in good hands. In the negotiation stage, when we told him that the price he quoted was expensive, he found us a cheaper hotel without compromising quality at the Kingdom Resort. 

Tim is extremely flexible and allows his clients to have some influence in the structure of their tour. For instance, he allowed my husband and I to determine how long we wanted to drive around to look for animals and when we wanted to take lunch e.t.c. 

Tim is very passionate about what he does and also about the animals. He loves South Africa and it shows. He really wants his customers to have a great experience throughout. We felt like we were on the tour with a friend as opposed to a stranger. 

During the two days, we saw 3 of the big 5 (Buffalos, Elephants and Rhinos) and many other amazing animals: lots of zebras, impalas, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos e.t.c. In addition, Tim gave us some lessons on the biology and history of some of the animals and the region. We highly recommend Wideside Tours and Safaris and will tell any of our friends planning a Safari in South Africa to book with Tim.

Thank you so much Tim for the best two days of Safari. An amazing place and I would highly recommend you to anyone. Tim is a fantastic guide, his knowledge is limitless. He is witty, good fun and a true gentleman. 

Cost of trip very reasonably priced for a solo traveller. 

The buzz of not knowing what could be around the next corner is thrilling. 

I'll never forget that special morning. Up early, before sunrise, mist all around, sitting in a hide next to a waterhole waiting for the sun to start rising - it was so serene, very still and peaceful, no people. Lion roar in the distance, hippos grunting in the water and a pair of spoonbills digging for their breakfast. It was paradise, so beautiful I could have sat there all day, sipping your special honey coffee :)

We went for the first time on a hot air balloon ride! Tim was and excellent guide. He promptly picked us up from our hotel and drove us to our destination.  We arrived with plenty of time and were able to watch the team set up the hot air balloon. The staff had coffee, tea & hot chocolate available while we were waiting. Our balloon ride was about an hour long and after we landed we had a champagne toast! It was amazing... one of the best trips we've had. When we returned to the camp the staff had a wonderful breakfast set up for us. Tim then took us to the Loins camp. After a trip through the park to view the loins and other cats we were able to spend some time with lion cubs, a cheetah & a giraffe. Tim took photos of everything.  It was so nice to be able to just enjoy the moment. Tim took us back to the hotel by early afternoon. I would highly recommend Tim and I look forward to the next adventure we get to take with him!

Dear Tim, thank you very much for your creating a most memorable day. I really appreciated your instant replies via email and your expertise in finding out whats most suitable for a marvelous day with ballooning and wildlife experience. We absolutely enjoyed the whole day with you, listening to your colourful and humorous stories and detailed backgroundinformation about the wildlife and Flora of Southafrica. Also underlined by completely surprising explanations, which sometimes in a funny way confused our fragmental general knowledge about wildlife in general

I joined Tim's tour only by chance based on recommendation of Mary Harrop (who offers a nice ballooning trip: http://www.balloon.co.za/) and never regretted it! There were only two customers (a lady from Singapore and myself) but he took a complete day to get us around the exciting Pilanesberg game reserve. We had a number of perfect game sights (admittedly this is also luck) but also enjoyed Tim's entertaining company and his deep insight into the country wild-life as well as politics. Very recommendable!
