We really enjoyed our time with Tim!! He is very personable, knowledgeable and has a wonderful sense of humour that had us laughing so often! Tim was punctual and professional. We gave him some ideas of what we would like to do and then he planned our tour accordingly.  We really liked the fact that he brought his camera along and made a wonderful photo journal of our time with him, We highly recommend Tim as a tour guide. We only had one full day in the Johannesburg area and chose to take a tour with Tim Smith after reading reviews about him.  I am very glad we did, the day with Tim was the highlight of our trip to South Africa and Egypt.

Our experience with Tim was fantastic, highly recommend him for anyone going to South Africa. From planning (months before) to last minute changes (our flight got canceled and we had to make very last minute changes), Tim was just incredibly supportive. He adjusted our tour for our specific needs, making it memorable. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the South African history, culture, animals, geography, ways of leaving and overall life overall :) … knowledge shared with us throughout the day, keeping us entertained after we landed from a 11 hours flight. I had a wonderful day visiting Pilanesberg with Tim. He is a passionate and knowledgeable guide, who really cares about the animals and has a brilliant sense of humour to boot. We drove to the park in Tim's van from Johannesburg and spent about three or four hours on the safari. We had some very special, up-close encounters with elephants, a phoenix, giraffes, a family of cheetahs, zebras, a rhino, and many more. Tim arranged a lovely lunch at a nice cafe within the park, he made sure we always had water, and he also took lots of excellent photos with his professional camera, which he gave to us for free at the end of the trip. Overall, it was a truly unforgettable day and I would recommend Tim to anyone – he's a great guy and if I ever return to South Africa again I'll be sure to look him up.
