Passionate, knowlegeable and a credible candidate as the next Dr. Who - what a scarf!

Samuel was fantastic.  He not only knows his birds but also the trees.  Not only did we see the Brown Breasted Barbet, Green Malkoha and Painted Snipe, we also had beautiful sightings of the White Backed Night Heron.  It was onlt the Pell's Fishing Owl whick eluded us.  We really enjoyed the time with him.  He has a wonderful personality. Great!  Thanks!

Samuel was our guide for the 4 days we spent at the Mvuu Lodge. He was great! He was very accommodating, knows his plants, animals, and birds, and has a great personality. He alway asked what we wanted to see and tried to make it happen. I would strongly recommend Samuel to anyone looking for an amazing guide in Liwandi. 

Samuel and I spent a morning birding on both banks of the Shire river. We saw some good birds, including some local "specials". I especially enjoyed his enthusiasm and love of birds and his encyclopidic knowledge of animals and plants.

This is the third time I have visited Malawi and stayed at Mvuu Lodge. It is the second time I had the great fortune of having Samuel for our Guide whilst at Mvuu. He is the very best you can get for a Guide. His knowledge concerning the animals and area is second to none. He can spot elephants miles away where the rest of us struggled to see them 10 minutes later even though he told us where to look!All this wrapped up in a really fabulous person. It's an absolute fabulous experience going for a safari with Samuel and I hope at my next visit to Mvuu Lodge he will be our guide. I can't wait for my next trip hopefully in the not too distant future.
