Tour to Göbekli Tepe and Şanlıurfa

Reviewed October 17, 2018

My wife and me have been traveled to several sites with prehistoric temples: UK, Malta, ...you name it. Well, Göbekli Tepe is the oldest known one. But sowhat? The unique and mystic characteristic of it is though, that noone of the prehistoric temples we have seen before has any reliefs onit. The pillars of Göbekli Tepe are full of such reliefs! We willprobably never know their exact meaning but they are just incredibleand incredible meaningful letting us reflect on their message. Wewere lucky to have our tour organized by Taha Ozyavuz who showed usGöbekli Tepe and many other sites in Şanlıurfa and its vicinity.Taha is not just a guide who knows very much about history, art andarcheology. He is also a perfect and very accommodating host who cannot just adjust his guiding perfectly to your personal needs but alsomake you feel very welcome, make you feel home. Many thanks!

Walking encypedia of Southeast Turkey :)

Reviewed October 1, 2018

My friend and I had a wonderful time having Taha as our guide/driver for a 4 days trip in Southeast Turkey. We visited Gaziantep, Adiyaman (Nemrut Dagi for sun set and sun rise). Saniurfa, Harran, Gabekli Tepe, Mardin, Midyat and Hasankeyf.

Taha's service is exceeded our expectation, he helped with planning, booking and tirelessly answering our qoestions about going to Turkey. His insight knowledge and long time experience guiding in Southeast Turkey had helped us to save time and money and make it possible to see all sights we wanted to see in 4 days.

During the trip, we witnessed his expertise in the region, he drove to all places without GPS, he remembered all the directions, we were impressed. He remembered all the histories, fact and figures and he has all the local knowledge so we get to experience the cities and sights even more deeper.

He is puctual, calm, flexible, client-oriented and a plus point from us is he does not smoke (it is quite rare to find non-smoker guide!) We could not ask for more!

We highly recommended Taha if you plan to travel to Southeastern Turkey. He also had extensive experience guiding in Istanbul and Cappadocia.

GREAT WEEKEND TOUR

Reviewed September 19, 2018

Taha is a very good guide.  He came to pick up from the airport as a gesture of kindness even thoughthe tour started the next day.  Within one day,  it was so wonderful to see the Euphrates, tour of Mount Nemrut to see the heads, lovely lunch, tour of harran's bee houses (including tea in one great place) then to try Urfa's famous spicy kebap for dinner (can have not spicy if you don't want).  The next half day, a tour of Old Town Urfa, Abraham's Tomb, tea in an old caravanserai where I drank a pistachio coffee (milk) and to top it all off GOBEKLITEPE (the world's oldest temple at 12,000 year's old featured in National Geographic recently.   I only wished I was there longer because there is so much to see in this area.  It was completely wonderful and a safe place to go to.  Book your time with Taha now.

Amazing Mesopotamia

Reviewed June 1, 2018

We followed footsteps of our daughter Julie who traveled with Taha to Mesopotamia in Turkey last year. Since we allocated more time (8 days) to this region, we visited more places and at a slower pace. It was important for us due to age. Taha organized everything for our trip in SE: hotels, route, transportation, selection of sites, restaurants; all were perfect. Taha is local to the region, so he has firsthand knowledge about life there that he shares and knows more interesting places to show than any outsider guide. We enjoyed our trip with Taha and recommend him for your next trip to Mesopotamia (Gaziantep, Halfeti on Euphrates River, Mt. Nemrut, Arsemia, Cendrede Bridge, Karakus, Ataturk Dam, Urfa, Harran, Gobeklitepe, Hasankeyf on Tigris river, Midyat, Mardin).
