Makasutu Culture Forest.  Traverse the beautiful jungle near the coast on a guided tour with Alex   Discover the medicinal virtues of plants and local crafts, such as woodcarving and pottery.    Relax under the tropical sun on the pristine, pristine beaches near the Banjul resort.  Or go further south and stroll along the Atlantic coast, sunshine guaranteed!    Did you know that The Gambia also has a Stonehenge?  Admittedly, the Gambian version is smaller and less ancient.  Admire these stone circles at Wassu and Kerr Batchm.  It is a prehistoric cemetery where the warriors of the ancient tribes rest.   Meet a friendly crocodile near the crocodile pond in Katchikally.  The Gambians believe that this water has beneficial effects.  Visit the National Museum at Independence Stadium in Bakau.    Hire a canoe to explore the ‘bolons’, the mangroves of the Tanji swamps.  You will discover hundreds of bird species, such as pelicans, kingfishers, herons and flamingos!   The Gambia is full of handcrafted souvenirs such as bracelets or pearl necklaces.  No problem!
