I arranged a full-day private tour of Islamic Cairo through Luxor Private Tour, and was very pleased with the result.  The guide, Omar, met me at our hotel punctually.  I had asked for a guide who was very knowledgeable about Eyptian history and culture , since I happen to know a lot about that already.  Omar turned out to be exactly what I had hoped for.  I had provided an intinerary of what I wanted to see, and Omar was resourceful in adapting my itinerary to what was available when during Ramadan.  For example, although it had not been on my planned itinerary, we ended up  going to the Egyptian Museum to kill time until other attractions opened up (due to restricted hours during Ramadan).  I had previously toured the Egyptian Museum with a guided tour from another company, so was surprised at how much more insight Omar was able to provide about the items in the museum. Besides the Museum, we visited several historic churchs and mosques, and toured the sights in the Islamic Cairo. I asked a lot of questions about what I saw around me during the tour, and appreciated the frank conversations which resulted.   We had a driver who did not speak English but was friendly and professional, and got us to our destinations efficiently.  The entire experience from booking through touring to final payment went smoothly and in my opinion Luxor's professionalism matched or exceeded the level of professionalism I would expect from a reputable tour company  here in the U.S..  I'm really glad I took what was for me a gamble and booked this tour though Luxor.  In case Omar reads this, I want to ad that I really appreciated his good nature and natural sincerity.

I cannot even possibly express enough adequate praise to properly illustrate just how impressive this tour company is to work with. Initially I had been hesitant to book private tours and had pre arranged cruise tours for our Middle East excursions due to not being as familiar with the potential for immigration and security challenges in the various ports of call but after two geriatric cruise tours of bathroom breaks every fifteen minutes and cattle call bus torture I knew we needed an escape plan for our much anticipated visit to Egypt .. From the moment I sent my Whats App inquiry to the owner (Ashraf) it was clear that we were in good hands as his communication was flawlessly responsive, positive and professional. But it was the actual execution of every element of our incredible visit that puts this service provider head and shoulders above the rest. There was not a moment where we were navigating alone unescorted throughout the day for a single second. From the exceptional pre-communication to the timely pickup at the port to the visits with both a tour guide and private driver to each of the sites to our perfectly timed return to the ship there was not a single hollow note or concern for safety and security. Our comfort, satisfaction and overall experience were their number one priority and it was plainly evident throughout our visit . Genuinely could not have been better and our family has made lifelong memories here that we could not be more grateful for. - Visa on arrival was already arranged (British citizens don’t even have to queue up). My visa sticker was waiting for me as soon I landed

- Super comfortable Toyota van for sightseeing. I covered Cairo, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Luxor. Everywhere the driver was very professional, courteous, punctual and spoke good English

- Very knowledge tour guides, some of them were teaching at University. Their knowledge was very deep, and yet they only talked us about most important and interesting information

- Despite peak season, at a very short notice we were able to do the Ballon ride in Luxor at peak flight time, 5AM.

- WiFi connectivity throughout the trip. We were provided our own dedicated dongle which kept my emails and what’s app working throughout my time in Egypt.

Based on the experience of two friends, I contacted Asraf for booking a tour. Everthing has been amazing and really professional. We have really enjoyed these 4 days. He provided everything and helping us with everthing, even he booked for us the plane tickets to come back to Cairo, because they weren't available online. The guide Ahmed has been awesone as well.
