Itinerary

1. Day 1: Activity Day at Victoria Falls

   • Do activities of interest as part of our meet and greet. 
   • Take a lion walk. 
   • Visit the local village.  
   • Swim in the Devil’s pool. 
   • Enjoy Catch‘n'Release fishing. 

   Dinner at the Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel. (Lunch can be enjoyed at the activity places.)

2. Day 2: Chobe River Sunset Cruise

   • Drive 80 km to Kasane, a town Northwest of Botswana bordering Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Zambia.
   • Settle into accommodation on arrival.
   • Get ready for a sunset cruise on the Chobe River.

3. Day 3: Game Drive in Chobe River Park

   • Enjoy an early morning game drive along Chobe River Park.
   • Receive lunch packs, as this drive may take well over lunchtime, and if the drive takes less time than anticipated (bad weather, poor health, etc.), lunch will be available at the accommodation.
   • Rest for the day in Botswana.

   Dinner in the early hours of the evening to give yourself a chance to prepare for a long drive the following day.

4. Day 4: Preparation Day at Maun

   • Drive to Maun and settle in accommodation.
   • Prepare all equipment and food parcels for the delta.
   • Have a briefing about the following day, as it is an eventful day, where we will be driven first in a truck and then in canoes, also known as Mokoro. This is a fun-filled activity that one needs to try at least once.

   Stay at a shower-less, bath-less accommodation for at least two nights. However, temporary showers can be made.

5. Day 5: Sunrise Bush Walk

   • Go on a sunrise bush walk led by our site guide through the swamps.
   • Drive to the Delta in 2 modes of transport: trucks and canoes.
   • Experience nature first-hand and carry mosquitoes and buck repellents. 
   • Have an opportunity to see Hippopotamus in their natural habitat.

6. Day 6: Bush Festival

   • Spend another day in the swaps enjoying nature in the bush.
   • Relax for the rest of the day.
   • Enjoy more cultural dances and storytelling and experience the “Bush Festival”.

7. Day 7: Visit Gantsi

   • Drive to a small town called Gantsi, named after a fly plague that once hit the area.
   • Have lunch in one of the restaurants along the road or have sandwiches prepared by our guide.
   • Check-in and drive to a village where the indigenes will perform traditional dances and tell stories of ancient living that directed modern living.

8. Day 8: Cultural Trip to Windhoek

   • Drive to Windhoek, the capital of Namibia.
   • Witness different cultures and have lunch in one of the towns en route.
   • Head to our accommodation and freshen up as we reach Windhoek.
   • Take a short city tour and learn about the country's history, people and wars.

   Dinner at one of their restaurants, famous for its ancient cuisine, game meat, and traditional meals.
