I am a mature (mostly) and fun-loving general knowledge enthusiast.I have lived in over 20 places in 4 African countries and travelled to over 20 countries in Africa, Asia, Middle East, Europe, South America, USA and Canada. I have a love for people, my country and life itself and am passionate about and proud to share the beauty, diversity and wonder found in our country South Africa. 

I have experience in various career paths including being a Military fighter pilot when I was 'young and dangerous' straight out of school, a sales executive, a cross-cultural worker and a co-founder and Director of a Care center for abandoned and HIV/AIDS babies. My love of people, desire to share my hunger for knowledge and the magnificent country I call home, drew me naturally into the tourism industry and its a joy for me to spend time with guests, exchanging stories, experiences and discussions as we tour the cities and countryside together.I am a Grandfather to 5 fantastic 'little people', married to 1 wife (for 38 years), have 3 married biological children in  their 20's and 30's and 2 adopted teenage girls.I love my family and feel prvileged to have experienced all I have in my life, learning mostly from the tough stuff but thoroughly enjoying the blessings! 

I have varied interests, am always seeking new experiences, but am particularly drawn to sports, food and drinks as well as the beauty of nature that engulfes us here in the Western Cape of South Africa.I enjoy reading, writing and sharing and hearing others' stories as I am a great believer in the fact that we ALL have a story that needs to be told. I look forward to engaging with people from all over the world in this magnificent career as a tour guide and desire for people who have accompanied me, to want to return or tell their friends to come.Come as a guest and leave as a friend!
