I am Kurt Thwaites and I invite you to enjoy touring with me as I utilize my personal experience, and we become lifelong friends whilst I show off my beautiful office; The Mother City! My current love affair and work space is Cape Town and I can undoubtedly say that the mother City, as she is affectionately known as, is a real gem not just in our country but the whole continent!I have always enjoyed the opportunity to entertain foreign visitors and even some locals who really wants to be blown away by the wonderful sights, cultures, people and valleys of the Mother City.My journey into the world of travel and tourism started as an unemployed father who wished to find himself and do what brings more than a smile to only me.I realised I had deep passion and love for my city and the surrounding game reserves, and quickly learned that I can work in a field that I am passionate about.In these interesting times in South African history, we were also transitioning into a democratic country and being freed from the boundaries of apartheid.I feel I need to show the world the excitement and energy in the air for the world to see our beloved country and its people. I have made tourism my career and jump at the opportunity of making the visitor realise that this city is truly unique.I have always pride myself as the one that has first-hand experience and knowledge of Cape Town.I have learned that no matter how good the product is, it is the person that delivers it that adds the extra value!
