Drive through Marshalltown, which was the mining hub of Johannesburg during the ‘gold rush.”
Visit the Carlton Centre and go up the “Top of Africa”, known as one of the tallest buildings in Africa.
Drive to Gold Reef City.
Visit the Apartheid Museum andl learn about the events of apartheid in South Africa.
Drive to Soweto, one of the biggest townships in South Africa.
Stop at the FNB Stadium, which hosted the 2010 Soccer World Cup Final.
Go past Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital, which is one of the largest hospitals. Eat lunch at a local restaurant.
View the Soweto Towers, which is now the landmark of Soweto.
Stop at one of the most prestigious streets globally, Vilakazi Street, which was home to the 2 Noble Peace Prize winners Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela.
Visit the Hector Pieterson Museum to get an overview of the events of the 1976 Soweto Student Uprising.
