Spending my childhood years camping and working on cattle stations in Alice Springs, Australia, I have always had a passion for wildlife and the great outdoors. But it was only after my first visit to South Africa and the Kruger National Park in 2001 that my dream of pursuing a career in Nature Conservation and Education became a possibility. After many years of traveling to South Africa as a tourist, I made the decision to move permanently to South Africa in 2007 where I began working on a Cheetah conservation project.Working so closely with a variety of wild cat species gave me a fantastic opportunity to learn about their behaviors, their social bonding and the importance for them to grow up and be raised in a natural environment. After obtaining qualifications as a Nature Guide in 2008, I started guiding in the Kruger National Park both in Private Safari Lodges and as a Freelance Guide where I developed a keen interest in bird life.In 2009 I started my own Safari Company and spent the first 4 years of the business concentrating on the typical Kruger National Park Safaris. However, after noticing a gap in the market, in 2012 I changed the style of Safari packages that we offer to include many of the other National Parks and Private Nature Reserves in South Africa. At the same time, I also moved to the Free State where I now manage a privately owned game farm, conducting guided bushwalks and educational nature experiences for children with special needs and disabilities. As well as my love for the peace and quiet of life in the bush, I enjoy Photography, Golf and teaching my daughter about the Fauna and Flora of Africa.
