Description
Take a one and a half-hour drive from Johannesburg to spend a day learning the interesting facts and information about fly fishing (for yellowfish and other top freshwater angling species) on the Vaal River, one of South Africa's most exciting sport fishing destinations. You will be using upstream nymphing techniques to catch the fish.

Vaal River Fly Fishing
- Meet the tour guide at the fly fishing venue near Parys (a 1.5-hour drive from Johannesburg) at 7:30 am.
- Spend 45 minutes setting up fly fishing equipment and discussing techniques and safety methods with the guide.
- The next five hours entail practical tuition and guidance on the Vaal river while pursuing the various sport angling fish species.
- Finish the day fishing at around 3:30 pm and head back to your hotel/accommodation.
