Description
Check out the Cradle of the Humankind which was declared a World Heritage site in 1999. It consists of over 40 sites, several of which have yielded hominid findings. Moropeng and Sterkfontein Cave will give you an insight into the evolution of humans.

Cradle of Humankind Tour
Meet your driver/guide at your hotel in central Johannesburg and begin the tour.
Make your first stop which is going to be a tour of the Sterkfontein cave; this tour will take you underground where you are going to explore these historical caves for an understanding of Australopithecus. It will take approximately 2 hrs to complete the tour.
Continue with your second stop at the Maropeng origin centre; the award-winning and world-class exhibition centre. The tour will involve in-depth knowledge about the journey through time.
Learn about Homo Naledi. Homo Naledi is an extinct species of hominid that became public in September 2005.
