Join this diving adventure to see and dive with the great whites in Gansbaai. Other wildlife species such as Cape Gannets, Cape Cormorants, African Penguins, whales and dolphins are also likely to be sighted. Gansbaai is only 2 hours from Cape Town and door to door transfer can be arranged. Shark cage diving trip in Gansbaai is hosted by a marine biologist and 6 other experienced and well trained guides and the aim is to educate you about the biology and conservation of the great white shark whilst having a once in a life time experience!

Itinerary

Thrill With Shark Cage Diving Experience
- 8:30 am - Meet at the starting point (depending on tide and weather conditions - exact time will be confirmed with you the day before).
- 8:45 am - Eat breakfast and then there will an informative talk about sharks and the area.
- 9:30 am - Spend 3 to 4 hours at sea based on shark activity and sea conditions.
- 1:00 pm - Enjoy tea/coffee, watch DVD of your trip.
- 3:00 - 4:00 pm - (depending on lunch time) Arrive back at Cape Town.

Know Before You Go

Safety during Cage Diving is paramount, divers will be supervised by a Dive Master and we have all the required permits and safety equipments on board. We make use of a securely designed steel cage, which floats on the surface, with divers no more than 1 m below the surface. All dives are breath-hold which is comfortable and safe. This is common practice among Gansbaai shark cage diving operators - NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! The best way to see the sharks is to simply hold your breath!

For those not wanting to go shark cage diving, surface viewing can also be arranged for them. You will still get to see this amazing animal up close and personal. The price is the same for diving and surface viewing.

Video and DVD footage of your adventure: The service of a professional underwater videographer who is highly experienced in this field is on board. Your personal shark cage diving trip to Gansbaai will be captured on a high quality video / DVD (above and underwater) and a copy will be made available to you after the tour at a minimal cost.
