Itinerary

1. Wine tasting

   • Paarl is one of South Africa's most famous wine-producing areas.
   • Located 60 kilometers (37 miles) inland from Cape Town and just north of Stellenbosch.
   • It is home to some of the Western Cape's best-known wineries.
   • Paarl's huge variation of terroir gives wine farms opportunities to experiment with many different grape varieties and blends.
   • The red wines are rich and robust, with a great intensity of fruit, whilst the white wines are fruit-driven and tropical.
   • Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinotage, Chenin Blanc, and Chardonnay are all important grape varieties in the region.

2. Wine tasting

   • Settled in one of the most glorious valleys in the Cape Winelands, Franschhoek was originally founded by French Huguenots back in 1688.
   • Their influence lingers in the names of the wine farms scattered across the region.
   • The diverse soils and relatively high rainfall provide an appreciable environment for wine growers.
   • The Franschhoek valley hosts a popular wine route featuring some of South Africa’s most highly acclaimed wineries.
   • These wineries produce both distinctive red and white styles.

3. Wine tasting

   • Known as the heart of the Cape Winelands, Stellenbosch is one of South Africa's oldest and most prestigious wine regions.
   • It boasts a picturesque landscape of rolling hills, vineyards, and Cape Dutch architecture.
   • Stellenbosch is famous for its red wines, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, as well as its white wines like Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc.
   • You can enjoy wine tastings at numerous wine estates.
   • Some of these estates also offer cellar tours and fine dining experiences.

4. Drop off at your hotel/accommodation

   • Be transferred back to your hotel/accommodation in Cape Town.
