They call me the "Rafting Professor" because in my other life I'm a professor of Communication and Media Studies.But rafting and adventure tourism are my [sensitive content]ween the 1970s and 1990s, I pioneered many of the river routes that today are popular with thousands of local and foreign tourists.Together with my son Corran Addison - who is much more famous than I am as a paddler - we opened up the routes, developed the equipment, and taught river guiding to a new generation of adventurers.I'm now based on the Vaal River but continue to run trips and expeditions nationwide.
