Itinerary

1. Day 1: Hanoi to Ha Giang to Yen Minh (L, D) (380km)

   • 5h00: Be introduced to the team at the gathering point in Hanoi (The Opera House) and depart to Ha Giang via Tuyen Quang province.

   • Arrive in Bac Quang town (Ha Giang province) to have lunch in a restaurant with the Vietnamese guide.

   • After lunch, continue the drive towards Dong Van stone plateau that was recognized as the World Heritage – the Geography Park.

   • Drop by Quan Ba town and take a walk up to the observatory to enjoy Twin Mountain (Fairy Bosom) sightseeing – the unique special formation made by nature.

   • Then arrive in Yen Minh town around late afternoon after passing by the largest pine forest of Vietnam.

   • Check-in at a local guesthouse/hotel.

   • 20h00: Eat dinner, which will be provided at the restaurant.

2. Day 2: Yen Minh to Dong Van Plateau of Rock to Lung Cu to Ma Pi Leng Pass (B, L, D) (120km)

   • 7h00: Continue the road trip to Dong Van plateau of rock.

   • A stop will be made en route for visiting an authentic Hmong village in Lung Cam and the residence of the Vuong family, still called “Palace of Hmong King” – the unique architecture’s remained over 100 years within Plateau of Rock.

   • Then visit Lung Cu – the North Pole of Vietnam, where you can see the beautiful village landscape down there.

   • After having lunch and a short rest there, start enjoying the most beautiful distance of the trip. It is Ma Pi Leng pass connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac. Dong Van and Meo Vac - the highest frontier points of Vietnam Nation bordering with China, a restricted area in the past but lately opening to welcome adventure visitors.

   • Enjoy the most spectacular landscape of Indochina - Ma Pi Leng Pass. Ma Pi Leng means kneed-horse pass - this means the pass is so high that all horses passing have to bend their knees to rest by being exhausted.

   • 18h00: Upon arrival in Dong Van old town, check into a homestay (a lovely H’Mong traditional house with tourist services) and have dinner.

   • After dinner, you will enjoy the nightlife there by walking peacefully on the hung lantern old street.

3. Day 3: Dong Van to Ha Giang to Hanoi (B, D) (450km)

   • After early breakfast, see how ethnic minority in Ha Giang communicates and does exchanges in the Dong Van market.

   • 8h30: Start the road trip back to Ha Giang city.

   • After lunch at Ha Giang city, continue the trip back to Hanoi.

   • 20h30: Arrive back in Hanoi.
