Description
Enjoy a 2-day trip to Saigon, Ben Tre, Cai Be, and Vinh Long. Ride a long-boat through cannery green paddy fields, marshlands, and sprawling coconut palms. Relish authentic southern Vietnamese cuisine and relax yourself to the tunes of folk music and the pristine tropics.

Day 1 : Boat Ride to Thoi Son, Ben Tre & Cai Be
08:00 am - Meet and greet Vietnamese tour guide at the hotel/Airbnb and be escorted to the Mekong Delta.
Along the freeway, see the beautiful paddy fields and visit the most historic Pagoda to see three enormous Buddha statues at Vinh Trang.
10:15 am - Arrive at 30/4 boat station and take the boat ride to Thoi Son Island, aka Unicorn Island to understand the local culture of the South and to see how the locals live their life on the island by visiting the bee farm and trying the local honey tea.
11:15 am -Taste some delicious seasonal tropical fruit and listen to the traditional folk music of Southern Vietnam and venture deeper inside the Island to a fruit orchard.
12:10 pm - Row a boat on the calm water of Coconut Canal.
12:30 pm - Take another boat ride to Ben Tre, the land of coconut to understand how the locals extract the juice and manufacture coconut candy and coconut oil.
1:00 pm - Devour a delicious Southern local lunch on the riverside restaurant. (Please inform in advance of any food restrictions.)
02:00 pm - Enjoy a boat ride to the boat station and head back to Cai Be.
05:30 pm - Check-in the homestay in Cai Be, relax, and join the cooking class for dinner.

Day 2 : Visit Vinh Long
06:30 am - Wake up in the early morning to feel the life of the Mekong and have breakfast.
07:30 am - Embark on the motorized boat to visit the Cai Be floating market.
10:30 am - Experience how people exchange goods, fruit, and other commodities on their vessels.
11:15 am - Take a boat ride on the maze of shady canals to arrive at a local orchard to enjoy the local tropical fruits and visit the daily activities of the handicraft villages of local people.
01:00 pm - Have lunch and relax on the hammock.
02:00 pm - Ride a longboat to cross the border between two provinces, Tien Giang and Vinh Long (~45 minutes). This is the best time to relax and snap some good photos of the hustle and bustle of the Mekong.
03:00 pm - Arrive at Vinh Long, and take the bus back to Saigon and reach around 6:00 pm.
