Itinerary

Early Morning Departure from Samarkand
- 6:00 AM – Begin your journey with an early departure from Samarkand. Our private vehicle will take you through scenic mountain roads towards the Tajikistan border. Enjoy the sunrise views over the hills as you leave the city, and get ready for a day filled with natural beauty and cultural exploration.
- Border Crossing – We’ll assist with border crossing formalities to ensure a smooth and efficient process. Don’t forget your passport and any required visa documents for entry into Tajikistan.
Arrival at the First Lake, Mijgon
- 11:00 AM – Arrive at Mijgon Lake, the first of the Seven Lakes, and begin your exploration. Surrounded by stunning mountains, Mijgon’s calm, turquoise waters offer a tranquil introduction to the area’s natural beauty.
- Photo and Rest Stop – Take some time to capture photos of the breathtaking scenery, and enjoy the fresh mountain air before continuing to the next lake.
Return to Panjakent and Lunch with Qurutob
- 3:30 PM – After exploring the Seven Lakes, head back towards Panjakent, a charming city known for its historical and cultural richness.
- 4:30 PM – Arrive in Panjakent for a traditional Tajik dinner featuring qurutob, one of the country’s signature dishes. Made with layers of flatbread, fresh vegetables, herbs, and a savory yogurt sauce, qurutob is a must-try for anyone visiting Tajikistan. This hearty, communal dish offers a warm taste of local hospitality and is typically enjoyed with family and friends.
- Cultural Insights – Take this time to relax, chat with locals, and gain a deeper understanding of Tajik customs and daily life, making it a perfect close to your journey before heading back to Samarkand.
Evening Return to Samarkand
- 5:30 PM – Depart from Panjakent and begin the drive back to Samarkand, retracing your scenic route through the mountains and border crossing. Enjoy the peaceful evening views as you reflect on the day’s experiences.
- 6:30 PM – Arrive back in Samarkand. Your unforgettable day tour to the Seven Lakes and cultural experience in Panjakent concludes as we drop you off at your accommodation, filled with memories of Tajikistan’s natural beauty and warm hospitality.
