My tour of Bukhara and Khiva was made possible by the incredibly knowledgeable Sahil, who guided me through countless Mosques, Madrassahs, Mausoleums and Markets! Through him I learnt history, linguistics, religion, philosophy, architecture, flora, woodwork, silkwork, carpet making, music, art, food and drink - making Bukhara and Khiva come alive! Also, through the trip, I enjoyed fantastic Uzbek and Tajik hospitality; Sahil was most accomodating and patient, and very resourceful at arranging all my connections, tickets and accomodation at the best prices.
