Itinerary

1. Journey to Hazrat Daud Cave from Samarkand

   • Meet-up at Hotel Reception: Gather at the reception of your hotel in Samarkand in the morning. Meet with the assigned driver and guide for the day.

   • Transfer to Aksai Village: Depart from the village of Aksai, located 40 km away from Samarkand. Enjoy a 50-minute scenic drive to the foothills of the Mirankul Mountains.

   • Arrival in Aksai: Reach Aksai and prepare for the adventure to Hazrat Daud Cave.

   • Hazrat Daud Cave Exploration:

     • Options for Ascent: Choose between two options to reach Hazrat Daud Cave: an intense climb of 1,300 steps (approximately 1 hour) or a quicker horse/donkey ride (25 minutes).
     • Observation Deck: Once at a height of 1290 meters, enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Zarafshan River Valley from the observation deck.
     • Mosque Visit: Before descending to Hazrat Daud's cave, visit a small mosque for a brief cultural experience.
     • Exploration of Hazrat Daud Cave: Descend 200 steps to reach the entrance of Hazrat Daud's cave. Explore the cave, which has a height of 15 meters and a depth of over 30 meters. Journey through the cave tunnel to reach the end with handprints and footprints of Daud.

   • Afternoon:

     • Rest and Enjoy the Surroundings: Take a short rest and soak in the surroundings before starting the descent.
     • Return Descent: Begin the descent back to the village of Aksai. If you chose the climb, enjoy the picturesque views during the descent.
     • Return to Samarkand: Arrive back in Aksai, where your driver awaits. Transfer back to Samarkand with the memories of an adventurous day.

   • End of the Tour: Conclude the tour in Samarkand.
