Itinerary

1. Day 1: Welcome to Uruguay

   • You will be picked up from Carrasco Airport in Montevideo by your driver. 
   • Head straight to Sacromonte Wine Lodge your luxury accommodation located near Pueblo Eden in the Punta del Este countryside which featured in Travel & Leisure, Conde Nast Traveller, Wallpaper and on the cover of TIME magazine. 
   • Enjoy a welcome drink at check-in. 
   • Each shelter will be allocated their own golf cart. 
   • If you arrive early, you will have time to check-in and have lunch. 
   • Rest of the day will be at your own leisure. 
   • Enjoy an epic sunset followed by dinner at the shelter with some wine.

2. Day 2: Full Day Experience at Sacromonte

   • After breakfast in your shelter, enjoy a full-day experience at Sacromonte. 
   • You will have your own golf cart to explore the property. 
   • There are many things to do like visiting the chapel at top of the hill or taking a small hike to the panoramic lookout, then taking a lovely walk through the brook, which is like walking through a small stream surrounded by trees. 
   • Upon returning to your shelter take a dip in the splash pool. 
   • Lunch with wines will be served at the top of the hill with breathtaking views. 
   • Before sunset you will have the option to go horse riding through the vineyards.
   • Dinner will then be served at the shelter with some wine.

3. Day 3: Full Day in Punta del Este with Winery lunch

   • After breakfast enjoy a full-day experience in Punta del Este. 
   • First stop will be Casapueblo in Punta Ballena, a building constructed by the Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró. Visit the museum or enjoy a coffee or refreshing drink on the terrace with epic views!
   • Next stop will be in Punta del Este, driving along the Playa Mansa coastline towards the peninsula, lighthouse and on towards the famous hand out of the sand called La Mano, where you can stop to take pictures. 
   • You have the option to do some sightseeing or spend some time at the beach. 
   • Around 13:30 pm, you will make your way to the beach town of La Barra, where we will visit a small winery in the countryside. This will be a great opportunity to taste more Tannat made in small quantities. 
   • Whilst having a Gourmet Lunch with wines enjoy beautiful views of the vineyard. The winery makes their own cheeses, bread, olive oil, jams, cured hams, pasta, dulce de leche (known as caramel), grappa and wine, so perfect for buying gifts! 
   • After lunch and many laughs, head to Pablo Atchugarry's museum famous for his abstract sculptural art. This is a beautiful space with good energy and lots to see. There is also a park with many of his sculptures. 
   • In the latter afternoon, head back to Sacromonte with many fond memories. 
   • Time to relax at the pool followed by dinner at the shelter with some wine.

4. Day 4: Visit to Jose Ignacio - Bodega Garzon

   • After breakfast head to the beach town of Jose Ignacio. 
   • Visit the lighthouse, explore the town, have a coffee or spend some time at beach
   • Before lunch there will be a stop in the sleepy town of Garzon to take pictures 
   • Afterwards head to Bodega Garzon for a Wine-Paired Lunch with beautiful views of the vineyards, which can only be described as being very Tuscan with epic views!
   • You will then head back to Sacromonte with many fond memories. 
   • Join us for a farewell sunset drink at the top of the hill.
   • Farewell dinner served at the shelter with some wine.

5. Day 5: Drive to Carrasco International Airport

   • After breakfast, head to Carrasco Airport for departure. If you want stay longer in Uruguay you are welcome to join us on a 4 Night Luxury Experience in Montevideo (all included).
