Itinerary
-
Testour, Dougga, and the Roman Ruins
- Stop At The Andalusian village of Testour
- Stop at Testour: Stroll through the heart of the city with your guide, which will take you to visit the great mosque who will, also, make you discover the unique clock which turns in the opposite direction (even its figures are written in the opposite direction).
- Stop At Dougga Archaeological Site: During your visits, below is an idea of the most important components:
- Theatre: Right next to the small parking lot and the entrance to the site is the theatre. It could (and still can) accommodate 3,500 people. Sit in the stands: the view is magnificent on the plain below.
- Capitol: Leaving the theatre, you walk in the old alleys. Our eyes are immediately drawn to the Capitol, a monument overlooking the entire city. This construction is in an exceptional state of conservation. It is possible to go down to these columns and enter the monument. The height of the pillars (about 10m) is really impressive.
- The Forum: Right next to the Capitol is the Forum. Unlike the Capitol, few columns remain around the forum. This has the advantage of opening the horizon, offering an interesting panorama.
- The House Of The Trifolium: Going back to the reception area, you will go along numerous terms and private houses, such as the Trifolium House. These ruins are very interesting because it is easy to understand the architecture of the villa or the layout of the rooms.
