Know Before You Go

Note: Trail order may vary based on the day or preference.

Prepare: Wear comfortable attire and sturdy shoes, and bring water. Duration varies based on group pace and interests.

Participants should have at least a moderate fitness level, as the hike is about 5 miles long with about 800 feet of elevation gain.

Not recommended for sedentary individuals; participants must have full mobility.

Be prepared for the possibility of getting your shoes wet from crossing the small stream in Murray Canyon.

What To Bring

Wear shoes with good traction; no sandals.

Dress according to the weather forecast; layers are ideal.

If it is a sunny day, bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, especially in warmer weather.

Murray Canyon has several water crossings, resembling a stream; you may get your shoes wet. Bring extra shoes and socks, and leave them in your car for after the hike.
