This 3-day Murchison Falls Vacation, including Big 5 Sighting, takes you to the mighty Murchison Falls. Expect big five sightings but the highlight is the boat trip to the base of the falls and a hike (optional) to the top of the falls. A safari to Murchison Falls offers the opportunity for a Big 5 sighting in Uganda. It is also an epitome for birds to watch over 450 bird species in Murchison Falls. Enjoy the roars of the Murchison Falls and depart for your outbound flight in Entebbe.

Itinerary

Day 1: Airport - Murchison Falls National Park - Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
- After morning breakfast, your guide/driver will pick you up from your accommodation and head out for Murchison Falls. The highlights of this park include the roaring rapids of the Murchison and the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest national park, where you will have the chance to view lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. Then surely you will be fascinated by the concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles here.
- For birders, Murchison Falls boasts 450 bird species, including the elusive shoebill stork, dwarf king fisher, the white-thigh hornbill, and the Goliath heron, among others. Enroute, make a stopover at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for your first Big 5 experience, where you will have an hour of rhino tracking. Another stop will be in Masindi to enjoy your lunch. Continue to the park and check in to your accommodation to relax for the Evening.

Day 2: Murchison Game Drive and Launch Boat Trip to the Base of the Falls
- After an early breakfast, tour the Northern section of Murchison which has a high concentration of savannah wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and photography of elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda Kobs and lions, the leopards (if you are lucky) plus a variety of bird species. Return to your accommodation for lunch, then go for the boat trip to the base of the falls. This trip is said to be the highlight of the safari in Murchison Falls since it allows you to get up close to the animal species within the water. Cruise past huge hippo pods, crocodiles, bathing buffalo, and numerous aquatic birds adorning the north bank on the way to the mighty waterfalls.
- You will have an opportunity to take thousands of pictures (and so carry your camera with you if you like. Also, proceed for a hike (optional) to the top of the falls. The hike is a strenuous one, but the thrill of reaching the top is unforgettable. Miss it only if you must! Return to your accommodation thereafter.

Day 3: Transfer back to Entebbe Airport for departure
- Be up early, have breakfast, then drive to the top of the falls (if you didn’t hike) to enjoy the spectacular view of the falls and thereafter depart for Kampala and connect to Entebbe Airport for your outbound flight back home. Your lunch will be en route, reaching you in the late afternoon for your flight.

All our pick-ups are done from Entebbe International Airport by our Guide-Drivers, and we can also pick up our clients from their locations/stations of choice (at No Extra Costs).
