Itinerary

1. Day 1: Kampala- Queen Elizabeth National Park

   • You will be picked up from your lodge early morning to drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Broveny Safari guide will first brief you on what to expect and drive time and ensure that you have the right gear for your 5-Day Ishasha tree climbing lions and Queen Elizabeth NP safari. This journey will take you through small towns along the Kampala-Mbarara road. You will be able to see royal drum makers along the way, small markets and a stop at the Equator for stretching and photography will be worthwhile.  Lunch will be served en route, and then we will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a short relaxation and an evening game drive.

   Destination: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

2. Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel

   • After an early morning coffee or tea, you will drive to Kasenyi Plains for your game drive design. Kasenyi plains boost of several wild animals whose chance of seeing them depends on your day's luck. On a good day, you may spot big cats like lions and leopards hunting, buffaloes, elephants, several antelopes, warthogs and other small mammals. Return to the lodge for lunch and then drive to Mweya Peninsular for a two-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. Kazinga Channel has the highest concentration of hippos in the world, over 400 water bird species and is a place where most animals converge to drink water. You will likely spot hippos, birds, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and more. Retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

3. Day 3: Depart for Ishasha Sector

   • Enjoy an early morning game drive, check out of your Lodge and drive 2-3 hours to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, otherwise known as Ishasha. Enjoy your lunch and thereafter drive to the Ishasha community uplift project to observe how the local community living near the park co-exist with wildlife harmoniously. You will visit a model family that will take you around to show you how to stop animals from feeding on their crops and animals, explain the challenges faced, and demonstrate opportunities available for both the community and wildlife conservation. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight

4. Day 4: Morning and Afternoon game drives at Kinshasa

   • The day begins early with an early morning breakfast then set off for an early morning game drive along Ishasha plains for memorable experience of tree climbing lions. Ishasha is popular for tree climbing lions and chances of seeing them climbing depends on your luck of the day. Ishasha has other animals like Buffaloes, Elephants, Antelopes and many others. You may also drive to River Ishasha to see the border of Uganda and Democratic republic of Congo. Return to the Lodge for Lunch and then evening game drive in Ishasha

5. Day 5: Depart for Kampala

   • After your early morning breakfast, you will depart for Kampala having experienced all the fascinating  Queen Elizabeth National Park nature. Return to Kampala, arriving late evening to catch up your flight back home.
