Description
Visit a typical home in a small village Kishonga, tucked between valleys and overlooking Nyakishenyi hills, to learn the local people's culture and lifestyle. Enjoy a unique experience of milking cows and witness local music performances while enjoying a campfire & barbecue. Take a walk in a local school, plant a tree in your name there and take a hike to nearby hot water springs.
Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe - Rukungiri
Arrive at lunchtime and have a typical Ugandan meal.
In the afternoon, you can join your Ugandan tour guide in milking cows. This is an activity you don't want to miss. Pressing and pulling the cow's udders to get milk out sounds easy but needs patience and a lot of skill.
Enjoy some free time in the evening.

Day 2: Rukungiri
After breakfast, learn how to prepare Peanut sauce and Matoke, which highlights a typical meal here. Cooking is done by using firewood.
Learn more about Uganda’s coffee and how it’s produced.
Join the local women in basketry, weaving mats, table cloths and various crafts. Listen to the local folk songs and stories as you work with the women.
Witness local cultural entertainment in the evening to relax your mind after a long day’s work.

Day 3: Rukungiri
Participate in making the traditional banana juice in the morning.
Return for breakfast and later visit a nearby primary school where you interact with the pupils—optional—planting a fruit tree in your memory in the school compound. Alternatively, take a walk to Mineera hot springs.
Enjoy a campfire and barbecue in the evening.

Day 4: Entebbe
After breakfast, you will depart to your next destination.
