Growing up in Uganda at Kibale forest, I was fortunate to have parents who loved the bush/tourism so every weekend we were either visiting a national park, up a mountain or exploring the shores of Lake Nyabikere and other crater lakes in the region.
After graduating from university in the Uganda I could not wait to get back to guiding! Buying an old car (Toyota Noah) I spent 2 years exploring Kampala City, Jinja and Entebbe towns before getting opportunity to visit national parks.
This was the perfect way to return to guiding and to reacquaint myself with the Africa's wildlife, birdlife and people.Once on the first "safari" I realised I wanted to pursue a life in the bush.
I had a passion for wildlife from my earliest memories, I particularly enjoyed interpreting the local languages to the travelers in my Rweteera Village whilst I was at school or during school holidays.I learned to trek chimps, canoeing, hiking as a young boy.
Becoming a safari guide seemed like the obvious route and being able to guide I haven't looked back.Kibale forest and surrounding parks is a truly diverse area and to give a guest the full experience you need to be able to guide from vehicle, foot and boat!
