Itinerary

1. Day 1: Kampala - Queen Elizabeth National Park

   • Meet your Ugandan safari guide and drive out of Kampala in the morning to start your Gorillas & Chimps safari.

   • Stop by the equator to get the experience of standing with one foot on either side of the equator.

   • Continue to the town of Mbarara for lunch before reaching Queen Elizabeth National Park.

   • Have a relaxed evening while enjoying the view from the lodge.

2. Day 2: Kalinzu Forest - Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

   • In the morning, your guide will escort you to Kalinzu Forest for your chimp trekking experience. Hike in the beautiful jungle and meet the chimps ahead of you.

   • Get back from the trek and transfer to your lodge for lunch.

   • Set off on the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. This two-hour boat ride lets you look for hippos, crocodiles, elephants and birds by the shores.

3. Day 3: Ishasha QENP - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

   • Set off for the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth National Park after breakfast. Ishasha is known for tree-climbing lions, and the game drive here lets you look for them and see topis and buffaloes.

   • After the game drive, continue the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of the mountain gorillas.

4. Day 4: Gorilla Trekking - Lake Bunyonyi

   • Start your morning by setting off to gorilla trekking with your tour guide. The trek takes you through the jungle up to the point where the gorillas are, and you get to spend one hour with them.

   • After trekking, proceed to stunningly beautiful Lake Bunyonyi and admire its lush terraced hills and vivid bird species.

5. Day 5: Transfer to Kampala/Kigali

   • After breakfast, start the journey back to Kampala.

   • Make a stop along the way for lunch in Mbarara or Masaka depending on the time.

   • Reach the end of your Gorilla & Chimps safari and your guide drops you in Kampala/Entebbe/Kigali Airport.
