I was born on 2nd April 1982 to Mr.Benon Godfrey Bitarabeho in Bigaga Parish, Butanda Sub County within the hills of Kigezi (now Kabale District) in the southwestern part of Uganda.I went to a couple of schools; primary level in my home area and secondary in central Uganda.I spent most of my early childhood in Kabale District and attended public schools where my late father had been a teacher. It was from there that I was inspired to do my part in preserving the environment. As a result of this passion for wildlife and the new exposure to nature, I joined a wildlife club when in secondary school, preparing him for his dream career as a conservationist. I participated in different training courses in the field of environment, and conservation each culminating into hard-earned and highly regarded certificates. In 2010 I successfully completed a cultural representative program and got a certificate in recognition of the outstanding service as a savanna guide at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Florida in the United States.Using the little savings Innocent was able to graduate with a career diploma in wildlife conservation/forestry from Penn Foster Career School.
