Itinerary

1. Day 1 - Volcanoes National Park

   • Pick up by the tour guide at an agreed-upon location and receive a briefing about the safari.

   • Transfer to Kigali city to enjoy a city tour.

   • Visit the Genocide Memorial Museum, the Nyabugogo market, a pottery project, the Moslem quarter in Nyamirambo and the Franco-Rwanda cultural center.

   • Have lunch and later drive north of Kigali to Volcanoes National Park.

   Accommodation:

   • Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge

   • Mid-range lodge located just outside Volcanoes NP

   Meals & Drinks:

   • Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included)

2. Day 2 - Gorilla Trekking

   • After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing at exactly 8:00 am; you will then need to carry packed lunch since you will spend most of the time in the jungle searching for the mountain gorillas. The time you will spend tracking the gorillas is unpredictable, and it may take as few as only 2 hours on a good day, yet it may even take 8 hours before you meet these great apes. This period taken depends on their movement on the previous day.
   • When you finally find the gorillas, you will have to spend an hour watching them play and eat foliage as you take photographs. It is truly a thrilling experience of a lifetime.
   • In case you complete the gorilla tracking early, you can choose to relax and have a drink at the nearby hotels, or you can take an optional cultural tour and have an opportunity to interact with the friendly local people.

3. Day 3 - Transfer to Kigali City

   • Wake up early in the morning.

   • After breakfast, go for Golden Monkey Trekking.

   • Head to Kigali city, which makes this the end of your gorilla trekking safari in Rwanda.

   • Get dropped at your hotel in Kigali or at the airport to catch your departure flight.
