3-Day Queen Elizabeth Safari with Kazinga Cruise and Chimp Trek

• Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

• Make a stop for coffee and photos at the equator.

• Continue through villages with cultivated areas and lush green tea estates before reaching the escarpment, where magnificent endless views of Queen Elizabeth National Park await.

• You will have lunch either along the way or at the lodge, depending on the time.

• Check in to the lodge and spend the late afternoon taking a village walk or enjoying the view from the lodge.

Overnight stay at the lodge.

• Start the day with an early morning game drive that exposes you to diverse animals, including the Big Five. Other animals, such as hyenas, may also be spotted along the circuit as you drive on. There is rich birdlife as well, especially the local version of storks in the wetlands.

• Spot the flamingoes in the salt lakes at Kasenyi.

• After lunch, get ready for a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel, a 36 km channel linking Lake George and Lake Edward.

• Here, you will spot hippos, the Nile crocodile gaping along the banks, and the savannah version of warthogs - Pumba.

Return to the lodge for an overnight stay.

• This morning, go out on a chimpanzee tracking tour in Kalinzu Forest. Enjoy the walk through the forest and be fascinated as you get up-close views of the chimpanzees.

• After this, drive back to Kampala.

• Take a halt at Masaka on the equator and have lunch in Masaka.

• Drive through to Kampala.
