Itinerary

1. Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

   • Meet your guide and start off early from Kampala for your gorilla trekking adventure. Be prepared for a long day in the car.

   • Along the way, you will make a stop by the equator for some photos and have lunch in Masaka or Mbarara, depending on the time.

   • Continue on to Bwindi mountain through the neck of the impenetrable forest. 

   Overnight in Gorilla mist camp/equivalent.

2. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Day

   • Have an early breakfast before setting off for your gorilla trekking adventure with a specialized guide. Besides the gorillas, this Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, sitatungas and dikers. 
   • Enjoy the walk through the forest and spend one hour around the gorillas. 
   • After the gorilla trek, your guide picks you and depending on the time you are back from trekking; you get started on the trip back to Kampala, cutting the time of the journey for tomorrow. The aim is to spend the night at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park, with an exciting drive there with a chance of seeing baboons and other monkeys along the way as well as a chance of spotting elephants from the lodge.

   Overnight in Pumba Safari Cottages (depends on time back from trekking, if late back overnight will be in Kabale)

3. Day 3: Transfer to Kampala

   • After breakfast, set off towards Kampala. 

   • Have lunch along the way. 

   • Get back to Kampala in the late afternoon/evening after meeting the Gorillas of Uganda.
