Itinerary

1. Day 1: Pick up and road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

   • The trip starts from Kampala or Entebbe airport with a pick-up from the hotel/airport. Our knowledgeable driver guide takes you through the whole trip and then starts travelling to Bwindi, an impenetrable forest national park. Travelling from Kampala to Bwindi takes roughly 7-8 hours of a comfortable ride, enjoying the beautiful scenery.
   • Have a stopover at the Uganda Equator for pictures and the water experiment. At the Equator, you can have your favourite Breakfast or visit some crafts shops. Another stop will be in Mbarara City for lunch. From here, proceed straight to the park, arriving in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Kigali

   • After an early morning breakfast, with your packed lunch, the tour guide will drive you to the park head offices for a short briefing on the rules during gorilla trekking. You will be divided into different groups, and only 8 people are allowed to trek with a mountain gorilla family per day.  This activity can take minutes or even hours depending on the location of the assigned gorilla family; once that gorilla family is traced, you will be given an opportunity to spend one hour with the mountain gorillas only standing within a seven-meter distance.
   • You will enjoy them feeding their young ones, playing around and have a chance of taking photos with mountain gorillas in Uganda.
   • After this tiresome activity, return to the lodge for relaxation and then embark on the journey through Kigali airport for your departure.

   Drive Time: 4-5 Hours.
