Description
This tour covers two different aspects of Kyiv history. On one hand you will visit a shrine of religeous and cultural life in Ukraine – Kyiv Pechersk Lavra Monastery. On the other hand – the places commemorating most sad and difficult events of 20th century – Park of Glory, World War II museum and Memorial to the victims of Holodomor 1932–1933.
You will start the tour from the Park of Glory commemorating the soldiers who died in 1941-1945, visit the “Memorial to Holodomor victims” of 1933-34 and walk over World War II memorial with famous monument to Motherland.
On the other hand we will admire the shrine of Eastern Orthodox Christianity in Eastern Europe – Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. This is the biggest, oldest and the most beautiful monastery in Ukraine representing a prominent historical and architectural legacy and an artifact of world heritage.

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a 27 meters high obelisk, with an eternal flame burning at the tomb.
Holodomor Memorial, established in memory of the victims of the Ukrainian Famine-Genocide of 1932–1933.
Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, also known as the Kyiv Monastery of the Caves, is a historic Orthodox Christian monastery.
The Ukrainian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War, a memorial complex commemorating the German-Soviet War located in the southern outskirts of the Pechersk district of Kyiv.
