Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha-Lake Manyara National Park

   • Pick up from the hotel in Arusha and travel to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park 120 km west of Arusha, home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species.

   • Look for monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees with the Tanzanian safari guide.

   Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

2. Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park-Ngorongoro Conservation Area

   • Check out of the lodge at Lake Manyara National Park and drive via the Rift Valley to the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro highlands. 

   • Explore the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera, almost 20km wide, approximately 600 m deep.

   • Discover the large variety of wildlife, including the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. The various springs found on the caldera floor attract animals such as wildebeest, gazelles, reedbucks, and more than 500 bird species.

   Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

3. Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Area-Tarangire National Park

   • Pick up from the lodge in Ngorongoro Conservation Area and travel to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds.

   • Drive through the seasonal swamps, savannah, and Tarangire River in search of zebras, wildebeests, lions, buffaloes, hartebeest, elephants, giraffes, waterbuck, and reedbucks.

   End of the tour.
