After a delicious lunch, conquer the challenging yet rewarding side trek to Maundi Crater, where breathtaking panoramic views await. Finally, descend back to the gate and return to Moshi town, filled with unforgettable memories.

Itinerary

Moshi town to Marangu Gate hike up to Mandara Hut then descent to Marangu gate and drive back to Moshi town
- Drive from Moshi town to Marangu Gate.
- Complete national park registration formalities at Marangu Gate.
- Hike 3-4 hours (8km) through rainforest to Mandara Hut.
- Enjoy views of Maundi Crater, eucalyptus trees, birds, and colobus monkeys along the way.
- Have lunch at Mandara Hut.
- Take a short hike to Maundi Crater for stunning views of Mawenzi and Taveta.
- Descend to Marangu Gate.
- Enjoy transport back to Moshi town.

Elevation: 1860m/6100ft to 2700m/8875ft.

Travel documents, visa, and entry to Tanzania-

You should make sure that all your travel documents are in place.

Thus, among other things, the validity of your passport for international travel should not expire in six months after the moment of entering the territory of Tanzania. There will be at least two blank pages for the visa and stamps. You should also get a visa for entering Tanzania. Fleece or soft shell jacket – A mid-weight fleece jacket is ideal for Kilimanjaro

Poncho – As Kilimanjaro, weather is unpredictable then poncho is recommended
