Sign up for this adventurous 5-day trek to the summit of Mount Meru (4,565 m) from Arusha. Enjoy the scenic surroundings of the Arusha National Park and the Ngare Nanyuki River en route to the summit. At the top of Africa's fourth highest mountain, take in the breathtaking sunrise views of Mt. Kilimanjaro before returning to Arusha.
Itinerary

Day 1- Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha
Pick up from Kilimanjaro Airport and then transfer to Arusha.
Go on an early evening pre-climb briefing on the trek.
Dinner and overnight at Impala Hotel.

Day 2- Arusha – Miriakamba
After breakfast, drive to the Arusha National Park gate at Momella.
Trek through the lush forest, crossing the Ngare Nanyuki River to reach Miriakamba Hut at 8337 ft / 2541 m (4 to 5 hours).
Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba Hut.

Day 3- Saddle Hut
After an early breakfast, continue to ascend steeply through pleasant forest glades and giant heather to reach Saddle Hut at 11,713 ft / 3570 m. This trek will take about 2 to 3 hours.
From here, it is possible to take a side trek to reach the summit of Little Meru (12,450 ft / 3794 m) and return to Saddle Hut in about 2 hours.
Meals and overnight at Saddle Hut.

Day 4- Descent to the Gate
Do an early start to reach Rhino Point and then on to the summit at 14,981 ft / 4566 m to see the sunrise behind Mount Kilimanjaro, before descending to Momella gate.
Meet at the gate and then transfer to Arusha Town.
Dinner and overnight at Impala Hotel.

Day 5- Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight.
End of services.
