Itinerary
-
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha City
- The safari guide from Serengeti Wildlife Safaris in Arusha will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. From the airport, your guide will transfer you to Forest Hill, where you can relax for the rest of the afternoon, enjoy your overnight stay, and prepare for the next day's adventure.
- If you have time, you can explore the city with our guide without any charges.
-
Day 2: Arusha Town to Tarangire National Park
- After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and proceed to Tarangire National Park for a game viewing with a picnic lunch.
- After the game drive, you will drive to Karatu for dinner and your overnight stay.
The park's name comes from the Tarangire River, which crosses through it and is the only source of water for the wild animals during the dry season. The park is famous for its many elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons.
-
Day 3: Explore Serengeti National Park
- After an early breakfast, depart for the most famous national park in the world, the Serengeti. Although the drive itself is long, it is spectacular. Anyone seeing it for the first time will have an unforgettable moment.
- As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in the local language, "endless plains". The park has 6,900 sq miles (18,000 sq km); for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon, defying your senses and perception of distances. It is the home of the Great Migration and to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and all kinds of antelopes. As for big cats and large predators, it's the place to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, with many television scenes like the famous River Crossings filmed in this park.
-
Day 4: Game drive at Serengeti National Park
- You'll have a full day in the Serengeti National Park. We are completely flexible with your preferences, and this day will be organized according to your wishes. Every day of the safari, your guide will discuss the best timings for you, including the game drives and the wake-up time.
- For example, on this day, you could do a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation, and finish with an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, you could do a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.
-
Day 5: Serengeti NP to Ngorongoro Crater
- After breakfast early in the morning, we will drive out of Serengeti with on-route game viewing, reaching the gates of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
- We will then drop inside the crater, where you will be able to see many animals living within it. The crater is the world's largest caldera, formed after an explosion that occurred approximately two million years ago. The crater floor is home to many species of animals and a great variety of birds.
-
Day 6: Arusha City to Zanzibar Island
- After breakfast, relax and enjoy some time at the lodge. If time allows, take a short tour of Karatu town to shop.
- From here, we will transfer you to Arusha Airport for your air transfer to Zanzibar. Our driver will then be waiting for you at Zanzibar Airport for your private transfer to your hotel in Stone Town.
-
Day 7: Sightseeing at Zanzibar
- After breakfast, we take a full-day Stone Town tour with our local guide. After the day's activities are over, we will transfer you to your beach hotel.
- Admire the narrow streets with residential houses that preserve their original Swahili-Omani themes. Exquisitely carved doorways identify the themes with metal studs, overhanging balconies, and latticed windows.
- Side by side, you will see churches and mosques. The churches are due to the colonial presence in the country and the mosques commissioned by the sultans of Zanzibar. You will also visit other exciting destinations in the
-
