Itinerary
-
Day 1: Fly from Arusha to Serengeti National Park
- We will pick you up from your accommodation, drop you off at Arusha airport, and fly you to Serengeti National Park. This specific tour starts with a flight from Arusha. The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands, which allow excellent wildlife sightings. Its climate and vegetation have remained untouched for millions of years. While the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is best known for the annual Great Migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope, move annually across the land, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The precise timing of the migration depends upon the rainfall patterns each year.
- After lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our luxury partner lodge for dinner and overnight.
If you fly from a different location, we can amend the price for the flight.
-
Day 2: Full Game drive in Serengeti National Park
- Spend a full day exploring the stunning landscapes of Serengeti National Park, where you will have the chance to spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—alongside cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and more. If you are there during the migration season, you might even witness the spectacular wildebeest migration, one of the greatest natural events on Earth.
- After your exciting game drive, return to the luxurious Melia Serengeti Lodge, nestled on the slopes of the Nyamuma Hills. This elegant lodge offers sweeping views of the Serengeti plains, allowing you to continue enjoying the beauty of the wilderness even from your private terrace. The lodge combines modern luxury with authentic African touches, providing a serene retreat where you can unwind.
- Relax by the infinity pool, savour gourmet meals at the restaurant, and watch the sunset over the plains, creating an unforgettable experience that blends adventure with indulgence.
-
Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
- On this day, begin with a spectacular hot-air balloon ride over the Serengeti, which will provide stunning aerial views of the park's landscapes and wildlife.
- Following the balloon ride, embark on a morning game drive to explore the Serengeti's rich wildlife further.
- After a leisurely lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive to experience more of the park's incredible scenery and animals.
- In the late afternoon, start your drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands, where you will spend the night at the Retreat Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge. Enjoy a relaxing and luxurious stay in the serene highland environment.
-
Day 4: Enjoy Ngorongoro crater
- On this day, indulge in a game drive in Ngorongoro Crater; it is a large, dormant volcanic caldera in northern Tanzania, formed 2 to 3 million years ago. It features diverse habitats, including grassy plains and wetlands, supporting various wildlife, such as elephants, lions, buffaloes, and rare black rhinos. Known for its exceptional game viewing and lush landscapes, the crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This area also includes Olduvai Gorge, where some of the earliest evidence of human ancestors has been found, marking it as a significant site in studying human evolution.
-
Day 5: Tarangire National Park - End of Tour
- Experience game drive in Tarangire National Park in northern Tanzania. It is renowned for its large elephant herds and striking baobab trees. Known for its diverse landscapes, including savannas and woodlands, the park attracts a variety of wildlife, such as zebras, giraffes, and antelopes, especially during the dry season when the Tarangire River provides essential water. With over 500 bird species, it is also a top destination for birdwatching. Its quieter atmosphere offers a more intimate and scenic safari experience.
