Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

   • Meet with the tour guide at your hotel in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, an enormous park home to a variety of animals, including elephant herds. The Tarangire River has stunning grasslands, recurring swamps, and lots of marine species.
   • Go for a Game drive and spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, antelopes, lions, and more. 
   • Try bird-watching here, as the Park is home to over 550 bird species.
   • Drive to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

   • Wake up, have breakfast, then drive to Ngorongoro, and then descend into the crater. 
   • Spot wild animals like black rhinos, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, lions, leopards, elephants, mountain reedbucks,  buffaloes, spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs, and more inside the world’s largest caldera. 
   • Spot unique bird species in the area.
   • Have a picnic lunch.
   • Drive to the lodge/camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

3. Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha

   • Have breakfast, then drive to the Lake Manyara National Park, known for its bird species, primate-filled forests, and grassy plains. A large section of the park is covered by Lake Manyara, which is alkaline and therefore home to colonies of flamingos and other water birds. 
   • Go for a Game drive and spot elephants, giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, impalas, and groups of monkeys and baboons in the forest near the lake. 
   • Travel to the small village of Mto wa Mbu on the outskirts of Lake Manyara National Park, have a bush lunch and do a village walk. 
   • Depart for Arusha.
