Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Mikumi via Maasai Village

   • Meet your driver at your hotel and leave from Morogoro town at 9:00 am. Transfer to Maasai village in a 4WD with an open roof. The drive takes 1 hour.

   • Graze cows and goats, visit the Maasai huts and conference hall (orpul) and witness the Maasai traditional dance. Experience the Maasai storytelling.

   • Drive to Mikumi National Park. The drive takes 1 hour. Register at the lodge and check-in to leave some luggage.

   • Have a scrumptious lunch at the restaurant in the park. 

   • Go for an evening game drive until 6:30 pm with your Mikumi safari guide. 

   • Come back to the lodge. Relax and have a refreshing dinner.

2. Day 2: Mikumi Expedition & Back to Morogoro

   • Go for an early morning game drive from 6:00 am till 9:00 am. In these game drives you will be able to spot numerous animals like elephants, zebras, impala, eland, kudu, black antelope, baboons, wildebeest, buffaloes and a subspecies of giraffe. Explore the wild flora and fauna as you traverse this national park. 

   • Proceed to the restaurant for a delicious breakfast. 

   • Head for a game drive in the park until 1:00 pm. Have a refreshing lunch in the afternoon.

   • Go on a 2 hours game drive. 

   • Drive back to your hotel in Morogoro town.
