7-Day Serengeti and Ngorongoro Wildlife Safari with Big Five Viewing

• Arrive anytime at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). A private transfer will be arranged from the airport to Arusha at Moivaro Coffee Lodge, where the rest of the day is at leisure. We stay at Moivaro Coffee Lodge, which is beautifully located on the coffee farms and is a perfect place to prepare for your adventure.

• Gather at the hotel for a pre-safari briefing and an equipment check. We will also confirm that you have the appropriate mandatory medical coverage and travel insurance.

Dinner and overnight at Moivaro Coffee Lodge: Half board.

• After breakfast at Moivaro Lodge, proceed for an en route game drive across the great Serengeti Plains via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

• After a picnic lunch, continue your game drive in the central Serengeti National Park around Seronera, or trace the direction of the migration.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Acacia Tented Camp: Full board.

• Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds, you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, as well as a multitude of birds.

• After breakfast, we will take a packed lunch and proceed with a game drive in Serengeti National Park. The migration can be seen in a long chain approximately 40 km long, heading in the southwestern direction.

• At around 12:30 to 13:00, break for lunch.

• After lunch, we will continue our game viewing, following the movement of the migrants in the southwest of the park. Approximately 1.3 million wildebeest, 250,000 gazelles, and 200,000 zebras have been recorded sharing the short grass here.

• Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Serengeti plains, followed by a picnic lunch on the way to Ngorongoro Crater.

• Stop at Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey's renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of man's earliest known ancestral remains.

Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Kirurumu Tented Camp: Full board.

• Descend 2,000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for your crater tour.

• Here, we will explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants, as well as the lake area, where we may see many flamingos.

• We will also visit the open savannahs where the lions hunt. A picnic lunch will be served in the crater.

• Be taken to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your return flight home.
